AFTER A LONG SILENCE|
Acrylics on board
This ancient tumble of ruins slowly being reclaimed by nature is part of the world after mankind has vanished and the bones of his decaying world aquire a new living skin of green. A large painting that started as a wild experiment, originally painted with a mixture of oil pastels and airbrush inks and frequently overpainted and altered. Years later when I'd become more confident with acrylics I gave it another going over and this was the final result.
What is a shame though is I have no photos of the
painting at its earlier stages, which would have been interesting for comparison.
